Jesus said ‘I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.’ John 15:5

This statement is black and white – we can do nothing apart from Jesus. Nothing, absolutely nothing. As a church and as individuals we are dependent upon God for everything. The way in which we show this dependence is through prayer. The only way our church will grow, the only way we will sense God’s presence in our Sunday services, the only way our organisations will flourish is through a prayerful dependence upon God.  We, therefore provide two opportunities for our congregation to gather and pray for the life and ministry of the church.

Prayer gatherings are currently held every Wednesday evening at 7:45pm in the Upper Room. (Enter by either door at the rear of the main church building, then head upstairs).

Early morning prayer takes place weekly on Friday mornings, in the David Burke room at the rear of the main church building. There is one slot during the summer months, 7:00am – 7:30am.

Prayer for young people and youth work takes place monthly on the first Sunday in the month in the Welcome Centre multi–purpose room at 10am.

We are also dependent upon God for everything in our lives as individuals. We encourage and seek to foster prayer support for each other through fellowship groups. You can also submit prayer requests or meet with a member of staff for prayer at our Sunday services.

Alternatively you can submit a prayer request now by emailing prayer@hrpc.org.uk
