David Johnston was born and brought up in Coleraine. A theology degree from Queen’s University was followed by a PGCE at Stranmillis College before returning to Union College to take up an assistantship in Mourne Church in Kilkeel.
In 1983 David was called to be minister of Waringstown & Bellville Presbyterian churches. In 1994 he came to Bangor as minister of Hamilton Road. David has been married to Olive since 1980. They have four married children and two grandchildren.

Marty grew up in Bangor, where he attended Kilmaine Primary School and Bangor Grammar. After school, Marty moved to England for five years, where he studied Marketing at Northumbria University and also worked for IBM.
Before beginning his ministerial training at Union Theological College, Marty was employed as a Youth and Children’s Worker by Howth and Malahide Presbyterian Church in County Dublin. Marty is married to Emma, has a son called Joshua, and a small dog called Sheepie. In his free time he enjoys supporting West Ham, going to the theatre and playing golf (although by his own admission he’s not very good).

Richard was born and bred in Ballymena where he attended Cambridge House Grammar. He left for Belfast to study Modern History at Queens University.
Following his degree Richard moved to Cork to be an intern in Trinity Presbyterian Church for a year. He moved back home to Ballymena where he worked part–time in Ballykeel Presbyterian Church whilst studying at the Cornhill training course in Belfast. Richard then started his ministerial training at Union Theological College in Belfast before joining the staff here at HRPC. Richard is married to Lynsey and are expecting their first child.
Richard loves watching movies and engaging in speculation about movies (especially comic book or Star Wars movies), books, music and various types of coffee.

Lesley grew up as a member of HRPC, and after working for 8 years as an ICU nurse in Belfast City Hospital she headed off to continue nursing in Australia.
After completing her theological studies at Sydney Missionary & Bible College in 2007 she served for 5 years in Sydney Anglican congregations involved in children’s & family ministry. Lesley joined the HRPC staff team in July 2013 as our Pastoral Associate and will be involved in caring for the more ‘mature members’ of the congregation, supporting younger women within the church & equipping church members to care for each other as God’s family.
Lesley loves her double espresso, rugby & enjoying the green fields of Ireland again!

Mark originally comes from Tandragee (the home of the Tayto crisp) and grew up in Tandragee Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Stranmillis University College in 2002, after completing a BEd, with RE as his main subject.
Immediately before starting work in HRPC, Mark worked in Fisherwick Presbyterian Church for a year as an intern, where he discovered his love for Children’s Ministry.
Mark has worked in HRPC since February 2006 and enjoys the opportunity to teach children about faith in Jesus (and getting to light fireworks on occasion!)
Outside work, Mark enjoys reading, naff TV shows, tweeting, and trying to keep fit (amongst other things).

Aaron is married to Sarah and they have two Children Zach and Evie. He grew up in Belfast and spent many years going to West Kirk Presbyterian. He went to the Royal Belfast Academic Institution then moved to Carrickfergus and worked as a checkout team leader in Tesco. Having became a Christian he continued to work in Carrickfergus doing various youth orientated jobs both church related and secular. He then worked as an Assistant Chaplain in Jordanstown University, as a classroom assistant in Rosstulla School Jordanstown and as an intern in HRPC for two years.
Having gained a BA in Theology from Chester, through the Irish Baptist College, he felt called to return to HRPC to work with the youth once more. Aaron enjoys spending time with his family, discovering new music, film and has discovered a recent love of mountain biking.

Mark came to Hamilton Road along with his family in 1994 and has served in various roles in the music ministry since then. He graduated with a BMus from Queens University in 2006 and currently works as Education Manager in Dawsons Music. Clara grew up in a Baptist church in Bangor, and joined Hamilton Road after marrying Mark in 2012. She studied music at the University of Ulster, Magee and has worked as the Events Manager for New Irish Arts, a Christian arts charity, since 2008. Mark and Clara enjoy working with lots of different people in the music ministry in HRPC. They love relaxing at home with their little son Caleb.

Tracey joined Hamilton Road in 2011 and the staff team in 2015. She previously worked for over 20 years in banking operational & change management.
She now manages the day to day running of the Church Complex, overseeing the administrative & facilities support team, together with the Welcome Centre and its volunteers.

Sandra grew up in Finaghy where she attended Lowe Memorial Presbyterian and was very involved in church and youth activities. Sandra has been a member of HRPC since 1988 when she married John and moved to Bangor. Sandra and John have 2 daughters Laura and Emma.
Sandra worked in Insurance for 20 + years and then became a member of the Staff Team in 2009 working in the office. Sandra says ‘I really enjoy the work and getting to know the members of the congregation.’
Sandra’s outside interests are reading, swimming and playing badminton (when her knee isn’t playing her up!).
