Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church longs to see unbelieving people become faithful followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. We have been meeting as a church since 1897 and from small beginnings have become one of the larger congregations in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.
Hamilton Road is part of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. You may visit the PCI website for further, more detailed information about our denomination and its mission.
The Presbyterian Church believes that “the Word of God as set forth in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments is the only infallible rule of faith and practice, and the supreme standard of the Church.” That may seem a bit of a mouthful but in practice it means that our authority as a church resides in the Bible in which God has spoken and through which he still speaks. It is this conviction which shapes our life together at Hamilton Road.
This means we are committed to teaching the Bible systematically and consecutively week by week. This is reflected in the preaching at the Sunday services and in our Discipleship groups which meet during the week. The best way to get a feel for what we do is to join us at one of the Sunday services, either morning or evening at 11am and 6.30pm.
Staff Team
Leadership
As a Presbyterian congregation, HRPC is governed by a group of elders appointed from within the Church Family to take responsibility for the spiritual oversight of the congregation. Collectively the elders are known as the Kirk Session. A Congregational Committee manage the temporal affairs of the congregation, and are accountable to Kirk Session.
The Kirk Session is arranged into a number of sub–committees, which have responsibility for various ministries in our church family. The sub committees and their remits are:
Children’s
Youth
Mission
Evangelism
Pastoral and Caring
Fellowship
Sunday Worship
The best way to understand what our services are like is to come along. Whatever your background, whatever your experience of church, we trust that you will find HRPC to be a welcoming community, equipping you to be a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Evening Service 6.30pm
Refreshments are served after both services, in the Welcome Centre.
We have a car park to the rear of the church, we advise you come early as there are limited spaces.

We also have two separate Creche facilities available throughout the morning service for babies and for toddlers.
